CORE: "Partner Ankle Cross Back Row"
Directions: Perform
Dynamic Warm-Up
exercises at “beginning” of workout
for maximum benefit and improvement.
Pick a safe level; never be unsafe or exceed your capacity to “control” your
body!
-
One partner lies on back on ground with
rigid body.
-
Other partner gets in split stance over the
down partner's ankles and lower legs.
-
Top partner leans over at 45° angle then
grabs ankles with one hand and pulls down partner's lower body up and off
ground.
-
Top partner does not engage their legs when
rowing--it's all arm and back.
Tips: Make sure top partner leans over far enough
to engage the back muscles. Bottom partner must maintain straight body with
strong core while being lifted.
*Note:
This exercise is intended for "normal healthy"
individuals. If you have an injury, or abnormal pain is present,
see your physician or a certified physical
therapist before continuing your exercises.
