Panorama Heights
Bed & Breakfast

Golden Ring Bearer "Whitney"
"The clearest way into the Universe is
through a forest wilderness."
--John Muir Panorama Heights is located
about one hour and fifteen minutes northeast of Bakersfield.
The area was first homesteaded in 1913, and the lodge was opened in 1949.
Today the lodge has been renovated by current owner Don Boshears and turned into a beautiful Bed & Breakfast.
The Panorama Bed & Breakfast is casual and reflects a peaceful “in
step with nature” approach to mountain living.
The grounds are adorned by fifty-year old Redwoods, fruit trees, and
natural vegetable and flower gardens. Two
large maple trees grace the large deck and entrance.
Inside, the lodge has a large granite fireplace and knotty pine walls
that create a cozy mountain feeling.
Ron’s
grandparents Bud and Violet Morrow had a cabin just down the road in the Jack
Ranch/Balance Rock settlement area. Ron
has many fond memories of the local mountains and old lodge from his childhood.
In his adult life, Ron journeyed to the Panorama Heights on many
occasions for bike rides, hiking, photographing, and family gatherings.
While staying and visiting at the Boshears' home, Candas and Ron decided
there was no better place to begin their marriage than in the presence of family
and friends relaxing in Panorama and overlooking the majestic Southern Sierra
Nevada Mountains…
