Abe Goldberg
Abe & Ron
Abe is one of my best Shape Up students at Bakersfield College. Abe is also one of my athletic heroes. I don't know if he was a "sport" athlete in his earlier days, but I do know he was a United States Marine during WWII.
As a US Marine, Abe's duty was to man a 50 caliber machine gun. In his day, Abe was the "best of the best" as a U.S. Marine. He was, and still is, a true American hero. I can only hope that I'll be in as good of shape as Abe when I'm 90+ years old. I salute Abe Goldberg as one of the most honorable and humble men that I've ever known--and he still exercises every day!
